FEED MILL MANAGER - NUTRITION SPECIALIST

  • Location: Tripoli, Libya Full-Time

    We are a dynamic and growing feed mill dedicated to producing high-quality animal feed for a diverse range of livestock including layer chicks, broiler chicks, camels, sheep, dairy cows, and beef cattle.     The Role

    We are seeking an experienced Feed Mill Manager with a strong background in animal nutrition and feed mill operations. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires both technical expertise and people management skills. You will oversee daily mill operations, ensure feed quality and consistency, and guide both operators and maintenance teams toward optimal performance.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead and manage all aspects of feed mill production, including scheduling, quality control, and inventory
    • Ensure nutritional accuracy and formulation compliance for all feed types produced
    • Supervise and mentor mill operators and maintenance personnel
    • Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate preventive maintenance
    • Collaborate with nutritionists and veterinarians to optimize feed performance
    • Maintain compliance with safety, hygiene, and regulatory standards

MAINTENANCE MANAGER – Feed & Flour Mill Location:

The Role

As Maintenance Manager, you’ll be the technical backbone of our production facilities. You’ll oversee all maintenance activities across both feed and flour mill operations, ensuring equipment uptime, safety, and efficiency. You’ll lead a team of technicians and engineers, troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues, and implement preventive maintenance strategies that keep us ahead of the curve.

Key Responsibilities

    • Manage and coordinate all maintenance activities across feed and flour mill facilities

 Qualifications

VETERINARY CONSULTANT

Location: Tripoli, Libya

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable Veterinary Consultant to join our team in Tripoli, Libya. This role is a unique opportunity for a skilled professional to provide expert consultation directly to local farmers and poultry businesses. The ideal candidate will be a specialist in poultry health, nutrition, ruminant husbandry (cows and sheep) and flock management, with a proven track record of diagnosing and preventing diseases, as well as optimizing production.

This position requires a hands-on approach, working closely with clients to implement best practices and improve overall animal welfare and productivity. You will be the primary expert, offering guidance on all aspects of poultry farming and ruminant farming, from biosecurity and disease prevention to feed formulation and operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities

    • Provide expert veterinary consultation and technical support to a portfolio of poultry farms, as farms with cows and sheep.
    • Diagnose and treat poultry diseases, including creating and implementing effective disease prevention programs and biosecurity protocols.
    • Advise on and manage poultry nutrition, including feed analysis and the development of feeding strategies to maximize health and growth.
    • Conduct regular on-site visits to farms to assess animal health, management practices, and environmental conditions.
    • Develop and deliver training sessions and educational materials for farm staff and managers on best practices in poultry husbandry.
    • Maintain accurate records of all consultations, diagnoses, and recommendations.
    • Stay current with the latest research and advancements in poultry medicine and management.

Qualifications and Requirements

    • A degree in Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or equivalent).
    • Significant and verifiable experience in the poultry and ruminant industry is a must. A strong background in a similar consulting role is highly preferred.
    • Deep expertise in animal (poultry, cows, sheep) diseases, their diagnosis, and treatment.
    • Extensive knowledge of all kinds of animal nutrition, including feed ingredients and formulation.
    • Proven ability to manage large-scale poultry, ruminant and sheep operations and advise on best practices.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with farmers and clients.
    • A strong professional network and excellent references are required.
    • Fluency in English is essential. Knowledge of Arabic is a significant advantage but not required.

Compensation and Benefits

    • Salary in USD, with payments sent to your account in your home country.
    • A separate local allowance in Libyan Dinars will be provided for daily expenses.

QUALITY ASSURANCE LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Testing and Analysis

Conduct tests on wheat, flour, animal feed ingredients, and finished products to verify compliance with internal and regulatory standards.

Perform routine analyses 

Sample raw materials, packaging, product-in-process, and finished goods for detailed evaluation.

Compare results with quality standards and report deviations to supervisors or production teams.

Equipment Operation and Maintenance

Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments to ensure accurate and reliable measurements.

Keep records of calibration, repairs, and maintenance activities.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.

Record Keeping and Reporting

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports in English for production and management teams.

Organize test results using computer tools such as Excel and Word.

Support audits by providing correct documentation and traceable test records.

Support for Production and Process Improvement

Collaborate with production and milling teams to optimize product quality based on lab results.

Assist in raw material blend adjustments and troubleshoot production issues.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and participate in internal/external audits.

Health, Safety, and Compliance

Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, ISO, and other quality systems.

Ensure safe chemical handling and strict hygiene practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Education: Diploma or degree in Food Technology, Cereal Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
Agricultural background is acceptable. CFTRI qualification is advantageous for flour mill roles.

Experience: Previous laboratory experience in a flour or feed mill, or equivalent analytical lab work.


Soft Skills:

Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.

Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Good time management, accuracy, and reliability under pressure.

Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Computer Skills:

EXPERIENCE MILLER

  • Primary Objectives:                                

         Assisting the Production Manager with management and control of feed production related issues and coordination of different sections related to 

         production. 

                                                                   

  • Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:                                             

         Planning of daily production in co-ordination with the distribution department.               

         Formulation of feeds in accordance with the standards and customer requirements.                    

         Ensuring that all quality standards are maintained.                        

         Controlling the activities of the departments under him.                             

         Monitoring the raw material stock and follow the ordering procedure.                

         Ensuring the factory is kept neat and tidy.                          

         Helping the Manager (A&D) in the administration of the factory.

INDUSTRIAL MECHANICS AND ELECTRICIANS

    Maintenance Supervisors

    • Assisting maintenance manager in the following management and control of maintenance of equipment, vehicles of the factory.                                                      Establishing and ensuring proper system of preventive maintenance. Organizing, erection and running of the projects under

             expansion program.



    FLOUR MILL

    Experienced Bakery Consultant Flour Mill:

    • As an experienced bakery consultant your task will be a link to advise and help bakeries improve on the techniques of baking bread, croissants, pastries,
      cakes and possible other flour related products.

    • Your aim is to increase flour sales through assistance and guidance of techniques of effective flour application in bakeries and related business fields.

    • You have at least a bachelors degree and a strong background and experience in flour milling, including types of milling, efficiency of milling, and quality improvement of flour milling.

    • You have excellent communication and social skills. You are a true connector that with a strong flour milling and bakery background, who has a rich knowledge of the industry as a whole. You have the ability to genuinely create customer satisfaction. You are the constructive link between the company
      and bakeries.

    • You are familiar with quality control within the flour industry and can interpret test results.

    • You will report directly to the production manager with feedback on the industry and will contribute to the increase of the quality of our products.


    Experienced Miller – Flour Mill
    Location: Libya Contract Type: Full-Time | International Placement

    About the Role:

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Miller to join our flour milling operations in Libya. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing daily milling activities, ensuring product quality, and optimizing production efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge of flour milling processes and a commitment to operational excellence.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage and monitor all aspects of flour production, from raw grain intake to final product packaging
    • Ensure consistent product quality in line with industry standards and customer specifications
    • Supervise mill staff and coordinate with maintenance, quality control, and logistics teams
    • Maintain accurate records of production, inventory, and equipment performance
    • Implement and uphold safety and hygiene protocols throughout the facility
    • Troubleshoot operational issues and recommend process improvements

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Degree or diploma in Milling Technology, Food Science, or a related field, or must have attended milling school
    • Experience in flour mill operations must be proven
    • Strong understanding of milling equipment, grain quality, and flour specifications

      Implementing process checks, further developing them and monitoring and recommending process checks.
      Align quality control objective with site requirements and central QA/QC team to maintain product safety, quality, reliability and minimize cost.
      Required problem solving and analytical skills. A thorough knowledge of the flour industry's quality control and food safety management in conjunction with good communication and people management skills in required. Have problem solving and analytical skills while maintaining a result oriented and technology driven approach.

    • To look after the planning and implementation of maintenance activities of the all the equipment to ensure a good production and minimum down time. Monitoring and troubleshooting of the problems faced during the normal operation of the plant.

    • Controlling of daily operations related edible oild refining processes and oil bottle filling. Ensuring the procedures are followed as decided by the management.


    Industrial Mechanics:

    • Main responsibility to install repair, and maintain industrial machinery, experience required with edible oil refining equipment as well as bottle filling machinery.


    Industrial Electricians

    • Main responsibility to install, repair, and maintain electrical installations, experience required with edible oil refining equipment as well as bottle filling machinery.


    Maintenance Supervisors

    • Assisting maintenance manager in the following management and control of maintenance of equipment, vehicles of the factory.                                                      Establishing and ensuring proper system of preventive maintenance.
